Job Description Job Description Salary: Tug Boat Captain Qualifications: * 5 + years total experience in a Captain role. * High School diploma or equivalent preferred. * This position requires fluent use of the verbal and written English language. * Ability to work 12-hour shifts. * Strong knowledge of industry related software. Required Certifications or Licenses: * Merchant Mariners Credentials (MMC) * Master of Towing endorsement * TWIC * CPR/AED First Aid Certification * Valid Driver’s license Responsibilities: * Ensure compliance with company’s Safety Management System (SMS), customer requirements, and all regulatory agencies. * Ensure safe work environment by leading by example and guiding Crew Members based on federal guidelines, USCG CFR, and company SMS.. * Performs the maintenance repair program for vessels and/or ensures the program is being followed. * Assist with project pre-voyage plans and logistics. * Perform other duties or task as required based on company’s needs.
